At EPV, we are dedicated to excellence and growth. We are currently in search of enthusiastic and committed Diesel Mechanics to join our vibrant team located in Dandenong South on a full-time basis. This is a remarkable opportunity to contribute your expertise towards supporting EPV's Rental Assets and client-owned equipment within our state-of-the-art workshop.

In this dynamic role, you will play a pivotal part in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trucks and equipment, ensuring their seamless and efficient operation. Your responsibilities will span from routine inspections to addressing intricate mid-life overhauls, all with the aim of preserving our clients' fleets in impeccable condition. This role offers diversity that encompasses a wide array of equipment, from conventional trucks to cutting-edge electrical machinery. This continuous variety will enable you to consistently test and expand your skills and knowledge, injecting excitement into your daily work routine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute routine inspections, repairs, and servicing of trucks, cranes, and EWPs.
• Undertake complex diagnostics and repairs, including extensive overhauls of intricate hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Perform major inspections and refurbish structural components on insulated booms, cranes, and truck-mounted scissor lifts.
• Conduct significant services and repairs on both light and heavy vehicles, specialized trailers, auxiliary equipment, and machinery.
• Collaborate closely with the Leading Hand or Workshop Manager to ensure meticulous and well-coordinated equipment maintenance and repair approaches.
• Engage proactively with the EPV parts team to facilitate accurate parts quotations and acquisitions.
• Provide regular progress reports on each task, promptly communicating any delays, part-related issues, or shortages.

Your Excellence in this Role:

To excel in this role, you should possess trade qualifications in plant or diesel mechanics backed by prior experience in maintaining trucks. Your robust knowledge and understanding of truck and equipment servicing will be your driving force, enabling you to tackle challenges head-on and offer innovative solutions.

Your self-motivated nature will thrive in autonomy as you take initiative and exhibit exceptional problem-solving skills. Safety will remain paramount, with your dedication to diligently following protocols contributing to a secure work environment.
